Draisaitl set to play 10th game with Oilers

Oct 28, 2014 | 2:55 PM

The Edmonton Oilers have Leon Draisaitl in the lineup for their next game.

That will be the 10th game of his rookie campaign meaning no matter what happens later on in the 2014-15 season, Draisaitl will be into the second year of his three-year entry-level contract with the Oilers in 2015-16.

The NHL team can still send Draisaitl back to the Prince Albert Raiders at any time, but with this decision it appears that would not happen anytime soon.

Draisaitl has one goal and two assists and is -4 in nine games with the Oilers. Last season with the Raiders, he led the team with 35 goals and 105 points in 64 games.
