A Saskatoon police officer has been suspended with pay after being accused of trying to obstruct justice.
Const. Steven Nelson has been with the service for nine years. The alleged crime occurred between August 2012 and October 2013.
A Saskatoon Police Service media release said it involves the disappearance of a victim’s statement.
The charge was recommended by the prosecutions branch at Saskatchewan Justice. There is also an investigation to figure out if Const. Nelson’s alleged actions contravene the Saskatchewan Police Act.
