Distracted driver faces charges

One driver faces charges after a two vehicle collision late Saturday afternoon.

The van and the car involved crashed at the 12 Street 2 Avenue West intersection. An officer witnessed the whole incident making it easy to lay charges.

Officials said each vehicle involved was inoperable.

“Once air bags go off you can’t drive the vehicle anymore, ” said one officer.

One person was taken to hospital, after being shaken up by the collision. However, no injuries were reported.

The driver at fault faces charges of undo care and attention.

The person being charged refused to comment on the incident.

Officers remind the public to pay attention while driving, especially over the weekend.
