Accused in Pelican Narrows murder, waiting for bail hearing
Over a month after a Pelican Narrows man was arrested for murder, he still doesn’t have the documents to find out if he qualifies for bail.
RCMP state they were called to a home after Adam Terrance Sewap, 32, got into a fight with another man from the northern community around midnight on September 8. The other man, 29, was taken to the health centre with serious injuries when police arrived. He was pronounced dead that night.
Sewap has been in custody since, charged with second degree murder.
Sewap’s representation Adam Masiowski told a judge in Provincial Court on Thursday they were still waiting for disclosure from the Crown prosecutor.
