There will be a Sport Nutrition Presentation tonight from 7:00pm – 9:00pm in Prince Albert at SIAST Woodland Campus (Polytech) in Rm 236 of the Academic Centre, corner of 15th Street & 10th Ave East.
The presentation is given by Heather Hynes.
Hynes is a Registered Dietitian and Sports Nutrition consultant with the Sport Medicine and Science Council of Saskatchewan and the Canadian Sport Centre- Saskatchewan. She has been working with the Council since May 2002. Heather completed her undergraduate degree in the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition at the University of Saskatchewan in 2002. She also completed her Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology in 2009 at the U of S. She has worked with numerous provincial teams, as well as athletes at the national and international level. She has been a member of three Canada Games teams, as an athlete, a manager and mission staff for Saskatchewan. Since the fall of 2007, she has been a doping control office with the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport. Heather was part of the VANOC anti-doping team in Whistler for the 2010 Winter Olympics.
