Elderly woman charged after crash

A Tuesday morning accident left an 89-year-old woman in hospital, and now she’s facing charges.

Around 11 a.m. an SUV collided with a car at the intersection of 15th Street and Central Avenue, with the SUV flipping onto its side.

The 89-year-old woman driving the SUV had to be extracted through the roof of her vehicle and taken to Victoria Hospital with minor injuries.

She has been charged with failure to yield.

The driver in the other vehicle was treated on scene for a minor hand injury.

No new details on discovery of human remains

Prince Albert Police are not releasing any further details yet regarding a body found in the North Saskatchewan River on Sunday evening.

At Tuesday’s weekly media conference, Sgt. Curtis Halcro said they’re waiting on an autopsy which should be ready by Thursday.

CRA Fraud

Police officials are warning the public to be aware of a new e-mail scam involving the Canadian Revenue Agency.

According to officials e-mails have been sent out across the country where the scammer claims to be from the CRA and is trying to e-mail transfer money to the recipient.

The e-mail often asks for credit or social insurance information.

Police remind residents that the CRA will never e-mail requests and will only send money via mail or direct deposit to your bank account.
