Kayakers find human remains along riverbank
Two people kayaking on the North Saskatchewan River discovered human remains along the riverbank on Sunday evening.
The kayakers found the body east of the city near the Prince Albert Municipal Airport.
The discovery was reported to the Prince Albert Police just before 5:30 p.m., and the Prince Albert Fire Department helped to recover the body.
According to police, an autopsy is set to take place on Wednesday. When contacted on Monday afternoon, the staff sergeant on duty said police would not be able to release additional information until after the post-mortem takes place.
