Highway 11 accident leaves one dead, three injured
Rosthern RCMP are looking for answers after an accident that left one woman dead and sent three others to hospital Saturday evening.
Just before 5:30 p.m. a car carrying a 75-year-old woman and a 75-year-old man was headed South on Highway 11. At the northbound entrance to Duck Lake a car carrying two teenagers turned West in front of them and the vehicles crashed.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene while STARS Air Ambulance was called in to transport the man to hospital with serious injuries; they were both from Saskatoon.
The two 16-year-old men in the other car, who are from Beardy’s First Nation, were also brought to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
