Give a Little Life – Nursery and Pediatrics

Oct 3, 2014 | 7:52 AM

The Victoria Hospital Foundation kicked off their 9th annual Give a Little Life campaign this week and are raising money for the littlest patients of all. The annual radio-a-thon hosted every year by Rawlco Radio is
scheduled for Friday, December 5, 2014 and will aim to raise $400,000 for the Victoria Regional Hospital’s nursery and pediatric units.

The nursery and pediatric wards are two of the most precious parts of any hospital. This year, we are making a big ask of the community to help us replace and upgrade vital equipment that will help sick children and newborn babies in our hospital. Critical equipment like vital signs monitors, incubators, oxygen systems and fetal monitors are just a few items we need. These little ones deserve the best start in life. With the help of the community, it’s our goal to make sure they have what they need.

Our hospital takes care of a large area reaching to Fond du Lac, Wollaston and Stony Rapids, and offers support to 52 surrounding communities including 12 First Nations. The Victoria Regional Hospital delivers over 1500 babies a year and over 1000 sick children are admitted to pediatrics annually. The annual Give a Little Life radio-a-thon is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 5 from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. on all three Rawlco Radio Stations.
