Best Beach: Waskesiu, Prince Albert National Park
Some of the best beaches in Saskatchewan can be found in Prince Albert National Park.
The park attracts roughly 25,000 visitors annually and the main beach, which is located on the shores of the Waskesiu town site, is considered by most guests to be their number one highlight.
“The main beach is a real drawing beach for the visitors to come to and use when they are camping or using their cottage or cabin here at the lake,” said Terrence Schneider, town site manager of Prince Albert National Park. “I would have to say 90 per cent of the public will take the time to walk down to that location and take it in.”
“People like to take the day to go to the lake and go swimming, read a book and relax or play volleyball,” he added.
