Carlton loses heartbreaker 6-3 to Aden Bowman

The Carlton Crusaders senior football team were one yard short of winning Thursday’s game, but the Aden Bowman Bears were able to hang on by the skin of their teeth and beat the Crusaders 6-3 at Max Clunie Field.
The Crusaders had a third-and-goal situation on the Bears’ one yard line with 32 seconds remaining in the game. Instead of settling for a field goal to tie, the Crusaders decided to go for it and win the game right there.
They couldn’t do it as the Bears stopped a Sheldon Paul run on the one yard line and were able to kill off the remaining time on their next drive.
