Vehicle fire turns wild west of P.A.

On Monday afternoon, Buckland Fire crews responded to a fire west of the Prince Albert landfill.

Jim Miller, chief of Buckland Fire and Rescue, said the fire has been contained.

Connie Bradburn, a forest protection officer, said it began as a vehicle fire then turned into a wildfire.

Bradburn said the fire is was about two and a half acres in size and caused a lot of black smoke in the area.

She said no buildings or businesses in the area were affected by the fire.

RCMP are still investigating the cause of the blaze, but have said they believe it is suspicious.
