Terry Fox Triathlon brings all ages together
The Tri for Terry Mini Triathlon has been running since 1990, but it’s still getting attention.
This year around a dozen members of the Prince Albert Triathlon Club, including three new members, joined in the event to raise money for cancer research. The triathlon started at the Frank J. Dunn pool in Prince Albert.
President of the Prince Albert triathlon Club, Mark Nagy said the Terry Fox Triathlon is in memory of Greg Sylvester, who was one of the major organizers of the triathlon as well as the Terry Fox Run. When Sylvester passed away the name of the triathlon changed to the Greg Sylvester Memorial Triathlon for Terry Fox.
Participants who decided to take part did a 300 meter swim at the Frank J. Dunn pool, 15 kilometer bike ride on the Birch Hills Highway, and a five kilometer run down Rotary Trail.
