Youth the focus of Culture Days at James Smith
paNOW Staff
For James Smith Cree Nation, teaching culture, particularly to the youth, is a priority.
As a result, the Cultural Days is being held during a school week when students from Bernard Constant Community School on reserve can come out to participate in the event.
Incorporating traditional teachings, storytelling, crafts, healing, sweat lodge, sewing and skinning and cutting wild meat, the James Smith Cultural Days is a time for the community to gather together to teach youth in particular about their culture.
