Spiritwood pair facing several drug charges

Spiritwood RCMP members have arrested and charged a man and a woman for drug-related offences.

On Friday the RCMP executed a search warrant at a home in Spiritwood and found a quantity of cocaine, cannabis marijuana, psilocybin (also known as magic mushrooms) and different types of prescription pills.

The 48-year-old man is charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance and breach of his conditional sentence order.

He will make his first court appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on Monday.

The 39-year-old woman has been released and is facing charges for possession of marijuana.
