Golf course’s new bridge gets major donation

Waskesiu Golf Course received a significant donation towards its new second hole bridge.

The donation is the second installment of a donation commitment that totals $60,000.

The funds have been raised through an annual golf tournament held by four golfers, Ben Kelley, Joel Broda, Cody Hobbs and Zac Griffin. Each long May long weekend, they host the tournament in memory of their friend Alan Vincent Hadley Logue.

Logue died in 2012 after a battle with AML Leukemia.

Two years later, they’ve donated $17,000, with another annual golf tournament set for May 2015, which they expect to be fully booked up, as with past events.
