Rider fans staying on the bandwagon after 28-3 loss to Hamilton

Sep 16, 2014 | 7:10 AM

Saskatchewan Roughrider fans aren't the most confident this week, but most admit they've seen much worse.

Fans are still reeling from the 28-3 loss to Hamilton on Sunday in backup quarterback Tino Sunseri's first CFL start.

“Life without Darian Durant, uh…sad right now,” said Mike in Regina.

However, many Rider fans talking in Regina said one loss without Durant is nothing to fret about.

“I can think of all kinds of little details that Sunseri sort of did wrong, but I think we just need to pull together,” said Cheryl.

Fans said it's a work in progress for Sunseri and believe he just needs more experience playing full games after Saskatchewan has relied on Durant for so long.

They are just hoping the Riders get comfortable before returning to the west and fans said even though the Riders can get over one loss, three or four straight could be a different story.

“It's make or break at that point,” said Mike.

Saskatchewan hosts Ottawa on Sunday before facing Edmonton and Calgary the following weeks.
