Lockdown lifted at Saskatoon school

Kids are coming out of Pleasant Hill School in Saskatoon after a brief lockdown Monday afternoon.

Saskatoon police said they received a call at around 3 p.m., about a suspicious man spotted near Pleasant Hill School who may have been armed. Saskatoon police are searching for a man possibly armed with a gun on the west side of the city.

A later report said he was moving away from the school and was near the 200 block of Avenue R South.

Pleasant Hill School initiated a perimeter lockdown, but has since opened the doors to let kids out.

A Saskatoon Public School Board spokesperson said all students are being kept inside until police indicate it is safe for them to leave. Parents can come to the school and go in the front door, but children are not able to leave at this time.
