Neil Yakimchuk received his second life sentence Thursday after a jury in Saskatoon found him guilty of first-degree murder.

Yakimchuk shot and killed Isho Hana 10 years ago in Saskatoon. The 34-year-old father of two was gunned down in the middle of the 2100 block of Preston Avenue South on April 15, 2004, during a chase.

But Yakimchuk wasn't charged until 2011.

Silent and calm in the prisoner's box as the judge handed down the verdict. This is the second murder conviction for Yakimchuk this year. He was also found guilty of first-degree murder in Alberta for an execution-style murder of his future brother-in-law Juan Carlos Dequina.
