Victoria Hospital reaches overcapacity

The Victoria Hospital’s inpatient units are at overcapacity, according to the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region (PAPHR).
The PAPHR said in a statement that one of the results of overcapacity is that the emergency department is currently very busy.
Staff at the emergency department will respond first to patients with life-threatening or serious health problems.
Anyone with a non-urgent concern or illness may have to wait for more than two hours for care. They are urged to consider contacting their family doctor or go to a walk-in clinic.
