PA police officer gets provincial honour
One Prince Albert police officer was honoured by the Crown on Wednesday, along with four others in the province.
Inspector Jeff Rowden from the Prince Albert Police Service received Commissioned officer designation in a ceremony at Government House.
Commissioned officers can command their service after receiving authority directly from the Crown.
“The dedication and leadership of these officers help keep Saskatchewan a safe place to live, work and raise a family,” said Corrections and Policing Minister Christine Tell in a statement. “These commissions truly demonstrate the strength of our province’s police services.”
