L’Ecole des Petits hosts 4th annual tradeshow

Oct 20, 2012 | 12:26 PM

On Saturday until 4 p.m. L’Ecole des Petits will be hosting their fourth annual Mini-Mall/Mini-Marcher Shopping Extravaganza and Bake Sale to raise money for their pre-school, which is a non-profit organization.

“We always want to do better so our parents don’t have to do extra fundraising,” said Jara MacFarlane, administrator and teacher at the school, adding it’s important that students have the opportunity to be bilingual.

Last year the school raised $5,000 and MacFarlane hopes to top that.

”We’re looking at enhancing our technology,” she said, referencing the desire for Smartboards.

The tradeshow features local businesses like Kirkby Cakes, Jockey, Impression Salon, Party Lite, Fringe Last Extension and many more.

There are also tons of fun activities throughout the day like jumping castles, face painting, raffles, and prizes.

The money raised today will go towards operation of the preschool, which is home to around 84 students.

The Mini-Mall/Mini-Marcher Shopping Extravaganza and Bake Sale takes place at the Holy Cross School.
