PA’s Swenson and Ziegeman to play for Lobstick semifinal berth

Two Prince Albert golfers are still in the hunt for the Conexus Men’s Lobstick in Waskesiu, but after Friday’s match, only one will move to the semifinals.

Although they’re good friends off the course, Greg Swenson and Ashley Ziegeman will battle against each other Friday in the Championship Flight match play semifinals.

Swenson beat Blair Sterling on Thursday to move on, while Ziegeman defeated Duane Gaudry.

Both will tie off at 7:24 a.m. tomorrow for a semifinal berth.

Regina’s Cadmus Delorme knocked off Martin Ring, the third PA golfer in the top flight and four-time winner of the Lobstick.

Delorme will face Medincine Hat’s Warren Gnam in the 7:15 draw.

Deer Valley’s Andrew Zaba, who won both the Lobstick and the Open last year, will take on Ted Bach, while Regina’s Tyler Zaba will do battle with Shellbrook’s Curtis Bloom.
