RCMP on the lookout for La Loche man after robbery

The RCMP have issued an arrest warrant after an armed robbery.

On May 8, just after 11 p.m. Reg’s Store in La Loche was robbed at knife point by two men dressed in black.

The two men were reported to have been wearing bandanas over their faces and were using a large knife to threaten the woman at the till.

RCMP have issued an arrest warrant for 41-year-old Vernon John Laprise from La Loche.

He is believed to be in the Prince Albert area and is assumed to be armed and dangerous and should NOT be approached.

If spotted call 911 or local police.

Laprise is described as 5 feet 7 inches, 150 pounds with a long pony tail down his back, he has numerous tattoos on his torso and arms.

The word “scorpion” is written across his back and he also has two scorpions tattooed on his upper chest, pictures of handguns under both arms, and numerous tribal art symbols and names of people.
