Man in court after guns are seized, including an AK-47

An Aberdeen man is heading to court after Saskatoon RCMP seized more than 40 guns as well as knives and ammunition.

The 62-year-old Bruce Charles Lafreniere is in police custody while he waits to appear in court for multiple charges pertaining to firearms related offences.

RCMP and the National Weapons Enforcement Team executed a search warrant on the home, Friday.

They found and seized, 27 long barrel rifles, an AK47 assault rifle, one sawed off shot gun, 12 hand guns, three swords, multiple knives and several thousand rounds of ammunition.
