Two arrests made in high speed chase

Two men made their first court appearance today in Prince Albert Provincial Court following a high speed chase early Monday morning.

Leo Keenatch, 30, and Darcy Carriere, 24, were arrested and charged with numerous offences including failing to stop for police, impaired driving, possession of property obtained by crime, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and obstruction.

The incident began around 1 a.m. when officers noticed a car that was believed to have been involved in a hit and run earlier that day. The pursuit started in the East Hill area of Prince Albert and continued on hwy.3, before ending near Kinistino with the assistance of the RCMP. It was later determined that the vehicle was stolen.
