Overpass at Lewvan Drive and Trans-Canada Highway opens

The City of Regina has reported that it is opening the new overpass at the intersection of the Trans-Canada Highway and the Lewvan Drive.

Highways Minister Jim Reiter says traffic at this corner is expected to triple in the next few years with the global transportation hub and harbour landing.

“There has already been some traffic congestion in this area,” said Reiter.

“But with all the extra growth coming in we are trying to be proactive.”

Reiter says there was roughly 300 vehicles an hour were trying to turn left onto the busy highway at peak times.
