Regina Pats sign five-year lease with Evraz Place
Despite threats of leaving town, the Regina Pats won't be leaving the Queen City for at least the next five years now that they've signed a lease with Evraz Place.
The team had been without a place to play since the end of May when the previous three-year deal expired. Despite things appearing to get nasty at times, Neil Donnelly with Evraz Place says things went relatively smooth.
Pats president Brent Parker said they decided Regina was the place to stay.
“For any sports franchise, you have to have a partnership with the building to be successful. We haven't had that before and we're confident we do have that going forward,” said Parker.
