Aug 18, 2011 | 6:51 AM
Regina police are alerting the public after thieves made off with a couple of SaskPower transformers.
“The thieves were interested in the copper and aluminum inside the transformers”, said James Parker with SaskPower.
There is a potential health hazard because the two transformers also contained polychlorinated biphenyls, which are cancer causing agents.
Anyone who has information is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 777-6500.
