Poundmaker First Nation accused appear in court for fraud

Several people from the Poundmaker First Nation had their court case adjourned this morning in Cut Knife.
Nine people from the First Nation are charged with fraud and theft over $5,000 dollars as well as breach of trust.
Only two of the accused were in court, Irene Tootoosis and Victoria McMillan. The rest were represented by council.
Chief Duane Antoine and former chief Ted Antoine are among the nine charged.
The case has been adjourned until September 6.
