Saskatoon business owners wary of increased parking costs

City administrators have a variety of ideas for lowering Saskatoon’s service costs, such as requiring parking metres be paid after 6 p.m. and on weekends.
Amigos Cantina owner, Jim Clark, feels that moving forward with that idea would hurt Saskatoon's efforts to brighten up its core neighbourhoods.
“It takes away from downtown revitalization and Broadway,” said Clark.
Clark said extending the hours of parking metres will drive patrons away from core businesses and into shopping malls and suburban area.
