University researchers awarded $1.9 million in grants

Fourteen researchers at the University of Regina have been awarded grants in the amount of $1.9 million dollars in total.

The grants were awarded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada.

Dennis Fitzpatrick with the University of Regina said some research with things like pesticides and genomics are specific to Saskatchewan.

“The funding at the University of Regina provides opportunities for people in Saskatchewan to do things that they could do no place else.”
