Another teenage boy has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 28-year-old man in Saskatoon's King George neighbourhood back on July 28.

An 18-year old male was arrested Friday at around 6 a.m. after police already arrested a 15-year-old boy on Monday.

The latest suspect is facing numerous charges including accessory after the fact to murder, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm without a license and possession of a prohibited weapon and ammunition.

The 15-year-old boy was charged with the second degree murder earlier this week.

Man shot more than a week ago

Around 10:30 p.m. on July 28, police responded to a home on the 600 block of Avenue H after a male had been shot in the chest.

Jaron Tyler Jahnke, 28, was rushed to the Royal University Hospital before succumbing to his injuries.

The 18-year-old is scheduled to appear in court Monday, while Saskatoon’s major crimes unit continues to investigate.

Jahnke is Saskatoon’s third murder victim this year.
