“Prince Albert Minor Football's Fall 2011 River Riders' season starts at the end of this month!

No previous playing experience is required, and all mandatory equipment is provided except cleats!

Online pre-registration is now available at http://www.pariverriders.com. Our in-person registration and equipment handout will take place on August 25th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Crescent Heights Arena on Branion Drive.

The registration fee is $200.00, and a $250.00 equipment deposit is also required, which is returned after all the equipment is handed in. Our first practise will be held August 29th from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm on the field next to Crescent Heights Arena.

Sign up your child today at http://www.pariverriders.com!

We are also looking for coaches to assist the staff we already have in place. Interested parties should contact either our Pee Wee Head Coach, Wendell Whitter, at 961-4562, or our Bantam Head Coach, Ryan Hughes, at 960-6082. Previous playing and/or coaching experience is preferred, and the applicant must pass a criminal record and viulnerable sector check.

This past off-season, tragedy struck the Prince Albert Minor Football family, as we lost an alumnus of our program in the plane crash near Southend.

Max Clunie was one of the first ever Pee Wee River Riders, and he was looking forward to continuing playing football this fall with the Carlton Crusaders.

In an effort to leave a positive legacy from this tragic event, the Friday Night Lights fund was established in his memory.

The goal of the fund is to install lights at the main field in Prime Ministers' Park. This will not only benefit our program, but also the multitude of other events that are held in Prime Minister's Park as well. Public donations are welcome, and will be gratefully accepted by Sherri Brown of Broda Construction at 764-5337.”
