Saskatoon soccer organization pledges aid for famine relief

The Saskatoon Adult Soccer league is launching a week long fundraiser called “Score a Goal Against Famine.”
Brandon Snowsell, board member and father of two, started the fundraiser after experiencing an emotional reaction to the African famine after seeing frail children starving on the news.
“If we each found three people to pledge $5 a goal, assuming we scored four goals, we would raise $1,200,” said Snowsell.
You don't have to be a soccer player to take part either — Snowsell encourages anyone to call the league office or the Red Cross to make a donation.
