Teen charged in Saskatoon man’s death

A 15-year-old boy faces murder charges after a Saskatoon man was shot to death in the city's Riversdale neighbourhood Thursday night.

Daniel Caswell watched through his front window as he saw someone was being taken out onto a stretcher.

He says he watched an intense police investigation focused on a house on the corner of Avenue H and 17th Street.

“(At) about three in the morning they were shooting something into the windows, they had a bullhorn and the whole street (had) a big flood light and they had it all blocked off,” described Caswell adding after this and previous stand offs he’s considering moving.

The 28-year-old man was rushed to hospital after being shot in the chest. He later died from his wounds.

The murder is the city's third of the year.

The teenager charged with second-degree murder will appear in court Tuesday morning.
