Parade hits the streets tonight

The summer fair official kicks off tonight with the parade.

It will hit First Avenue and 14th Street East at 7 p.m.

The parade will then go north on Central Avenue to River Street, east on River Street to Sixth Avenue East and south on Sixth Avenue East ending at Exhibition Drive.

The floats will be out in full force competing for top prizes.

Officials said some roads on the parade route will start shutting down at about 4 p.m. to prepare for the show.
