Man arrested in West Flat disturbance

A Prince Albert man will appear in court next month after causing a disturbance in a West Flat neighborhood.

Prince Albert Police were called to the 1900 block of 14th Street West on Tuesday night where an intoxicated man armed with a knife was allegedly threatening residents and damaging property.

Witnesses pointed officers to a nearby residence where the suspect had retreated. Officers entered the home where they located the suspect and the knife, said a news release.

Police say the suspect was treated for minor injuries, which he suffered while damaging his neighbor’s property.

Frank Joel Bird, 18, has been charged with three counts of assault with a weapon and willful damage.
