Regina man missing in Last Mountain Lake

The RCMP is searching for a 20-year-old Regina man in Last Mountain Lake after he went swimming underwater and didn’t resurface

Despite plans to send them out Tuesday afternoon, there was a delay getting the RCMP dive team assembled. The plan now is to have divers search the waters starting Wednesday morning.

Southey RCMP responded to the call at the beach at Fox’s Point on Last Mountain Lake at 10:43 a.m. Tuesday.

Natalie Gray, a spokeswoman for the RCMP, says the man went swimming with a female. He went under the water but never came up.

“We really don’t know much else other than this fellow went under the water while he was swimming and didn’t resurface. Now we’re doing our best to look for him,” said Gray.
