The possibility of nuclear waste storage in Northern Saskatchewan has a group of concerned citizens ready to march to Regina.
The Committee for Future Generations plan on walking from Pinehouse to the legislature, and they hope to drum up support along the way.
The committee's president Max Morin said they are trying to get people to sign their petition, asking the government to ban nuclear waste storage and transport in the province.
“Our concern is that this nuclear waste will damage the environment in Northern Saskatchewan, mainly out water, the land and the air.”
