Two people from the Sturgeon Lake First Nation are facing drug charges, after a home on the reserve was searched this week by the RCMP.
On Wednesday afternoon, RCMP executed a drug warrant. As a result, an undisclosed amount of drugs was seized, as well as cash and property.
RCMP said the two homeowners were present at the time and were arrested without incident.
William Tyler Turner, 30, and Melissa Jemima Ballantyne, 28, have both been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, as well as proceeds of crime under $5,000.
