Beatty Lake Recreation Site closed for season

Damage from Monday night's storm continues to create havoc with provincial campgrounds.

Meadow Lake area has forced the Beatty Lake Recreation Site to close for the rest of the season.

Northwest Park Area Manager Colette Schmalz said the storm knocked over trees in the campground and fallen trees covered the road into the site.

“We are doing an assessment of how to clean it up. I do not know but it might be an extensive amount of time.”

Schmalz said that no one was in the area during the storm.
