Drive-in comes down

Jul 21, 2011 | 12:36 PM

A piece of Prince Albert's history has come down.

The Pines Drive-In was torn down Wednesday morning and today crews are cleaning the debris from the site.

The old drive-in opened in the early 1950s.

According to the Prince Albert Historical Society archives the first owner was Andrew Russel in 1951.

The old drive-in has changed hands several times since then and has sat unused since the mid 2000s, after the last show played on the big screen many years ago.
