Battlefords RCMP still seek home invasion suspect

Battlefords RCMP are calling for the public’s assistance concerning a home invasion involving an elderly woman.

RCMP Cpl. Jason Teniuk says since releasing a description of the intruder they've had some tips, but so far there are no leads.

On June 12, police received a report that an elderly woman was physically assaulted following a home invasion.

The suspect left with several bottles of liquor and told the victim to stay inside the locked house.

The woman used a medical alarm to call for help.

The victim has described the man to police as aboriginal, five foot five, 120 pounds, with short black hair, wearing a black jacket with yellow writing.

Investigators have ruled out any connection with another home invasion last week in a different part of the city, which resulted in the arrest of four suspects.
