Sask. government won’t change stripping laws
The number of signatures raised by Regina exotic dancers may be irrelevant, as the body that governs drinking establishments, the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLG), has no plans to review its regulations.
A group of strippers are circulating a petition to have the government overturn the law that bans stripping in bars.
David Morris, spokesperson with the SLG, says a petition has no sway on the law.
“We do receive comments and petitions from time to time, but again, the minister has been clear about SLG’s position,” said Morris.
