Free fishing weekend in Saskatchewan

It's the one weekend a year that you can catch your dinner for free.

Saturday and Sunday mark the annual free fishing weekend in Saskatchewan.

That means you don't have to buy a fishing licence for two days.

However, all other fishing regulations — such as possession limits and reduced limits on some lakes and rivers– are still in effect.

But if you're in a national park or you plan on taking the fish out of province, this doesn't apply to you and you'll need to buy a licence.
