More than 30 train cars derail east of Regina
More than 30 train cars derailed after a CP train collided with a semi-truck near Grenfell, about an hour east of Regina.
Both the driver of the truck as well as the CP Rail crew all escaped without injury. RCMP say none of the rail cars contained anything hazardous.
The train was travelling westbound around 5:15 p.m., less than two kilometres outside Grenfell, when it collided with the semi-truck loaded with grain.
Corporal Devin Pugh with the RCMP says timing had a lot to do with everyone escaping without injury.
