Sask chiefs have lost faith in FSIN chief
FSIN Chief Guy Lonechild could be on the hot seat at the FSIN Spring Legislative Assembly. The Assembly takes place in Onion Lake on Wednesday and Thursday.
More than 25 Saskatchewan chiefs have said they no longer have faith in Lonechild's leadership. Some believe he tried to cover up an impaired driving charge prior to his election as FSIN chief.
These chiefs have been pushing for a non-confidence vote to remove Lonechild from his position. There is a possibility this vote could take place at the Spring Assembly.
Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation Chief Darrel McCallum said if the vote happens, he is not yet willing to take a side.
