Winds blow semi off Trans-Canada
Jun 30, 2011 | 7:12 AM
The winds were so bad in southern Saskatchewan on Wednesday night that a semi-truck was blown off the Trans-Canada Highway.
The truck was carrying chemicals, although the RCMP hasn’t said what kind or if there was a spill.
It all happened at about 10:15 p.m., between Belle Plain and Moose Jaw.
Police say the driver is OK.
Highway 1 was closed for several hours but has now been reopened.
RCMP are still investigating the incident.
