Weyburn flood victim helps raise more than $6,000

Heartfelt stories continue to be told during News Talk Radio's 12-hour radio telethon for flood relief in Saskatchewan.

Amber Knauft manages Weyburn's Canalta Hotel, where she's actually living after her apartment got hit by a flood that swept through the city more than a week ago.

However, that hasn't stopped her from raising money for other flood victims in the meantime.

“I actually reached out to all of our Canalta Hotels and our head office had decided that they are willing to match what we have been able to raise,” said Knauft. “And we were able to raise $3050, so all together we are going to be donating a total to the Canadian Red Cross of $6,100.”
